I regained my Blog!

The past 3 years has been extra-ordinary for me, after I have settled down in my current mode of living, but sadly I lost control over my own Blog. I would update friends a bit of my past 3 years, particularly the other audio jumbles/shows that I attended, travelling and photos. Yes, I have recently fallen in love with digital photography, equipped myself with a Canon 5D Mark II camera and various Canon EF lenses. The other happy thing is the launch of the 27D pre-amplifier in 2009, that has got favourable feedback from users and friends. Stay tuned.

Vintage RCA monobloc - Britain made (not USA)!

Rogers integrated stereo amp - popular in the mid to end of 1960s.

Miscellaneous tubes - They were, anyway, cheap!

A LEAK mono preamp was GBP 5 only - the knobs should worth more than!

Radford ST-25 stereo power amp - sold "as is" - i.e. waiting for restoration

Tonbridge Audiojumble February 2006

I attended the Tonbridge Audiojumble this year at the Angel Centre (a community sports centre), Tonbridge, Kent. It was held on 12 February 2006 and visitors are allowed multiple entries on the day!

Some visitors rushed in with smiles and out with loads of stuff, and repeated using the "permit" stamped on their hands! I would share some photos here!

It was such an usual winter day in the UK, rain and a little bit chilly. Big thanks for Paul Whatton who let me stayed at his house and drove me to the Tonbridge Audiojumble on the following day. It took more than an hour to drive on the motorway from Paul's house to Tonbridge!

It was GBP 4 for entry per head at or after 10:30 a.m. Early birds paid GBP 10 per head for 9:30 a.m. entry.

Not only that, I learnt from the guy who "ran" a stall that he got entry earlier than 9:30 a.m. by hiring a stall himself. Indeed many stuff on show and for sale were very cheap and interesting! At 10:40 a.m., there were already lots of people!

Worthwhile to come? Yes! Definitely. Particularly I could meet so many celebrities in audio forums of the internet.
